Kobbekaduwa's 25th death anniversary

Parliamentarian Hector Kobbekaduwa's 25th death anniversary falls today.

Born on August 16, 1916 at Deldeniya, Yatinuwara, he had his primary education at the Trinity College, Kandy and later passed out as a proctor from the Law College.

Kobbekaduwa became a household name in the country during the decade of 70s after the lands takeover initiated under the ULF Government headed by the late Prime Minister Sirimavo Bandaranaike.
