IESL lecture today
The Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) is organising a
memorial lecture to commemorate the 134th birth anniversary of the late
engineer D J Wimalasurendra, one of the greatest engineers in the Sri
Lankan history. The lecture will be held at the Wimalasurendra
Auditorium of the IESL today at 5.15 p.m.
The Wimalasurendra memorial lecture which was commenced in 1989 is an
annual event organized by the IESL.
The largest auditorium of the IESL Secretariat was declared as the
Wimalasurendra Auditorium in 2003, in honour of this great engineer.
The theme of this year’s lecture would be “Hydro vision-stretching
the boundaries” which would be delivered by engineer Kapila Nanayakkara,
specialist engineer of Snowyhydro Limited of Australia.

The management control of CIC Paints Ltd will now shift to AkzoNobel. |
