World Cup bid back on track says Burley

George Burley believes Scotland are back on track for World Cup qualification following their 2-1 win Wednesday in Iceland.

The Scots picked up all three points in Reykjavik following the success in their second match of their campaign, following a 1-0 weekend defeat in Macedonia.

The win puts them joint top of Group Nine with The Netherlands and Macedonia, having played one game more than the Dutch. But Burley believes three points is a good return from the opening double-header away from home and is full of confidence as the Scots head to a Hampden showdown with Norway next month.
