Milady TT Tourney on September 27 and 28

The 11th Milady Open All Island Table Tennis Team Knock out Championship conducted by the Old Sokians Table Tennis Club approved by the Table Tennis Association of Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka Schools Table Tennis Association will be held on September 27 and 28 at S. Thomas’ College, Indoor Stadium, Mount Lavinia.

This two day event will be conducted for both men’s and women’s in five groups. The school teams will be taken into the groups according to their rankings. The teams including ranking players will be placed in the division A. Sri Lanka National rankings up to 12 will be considered in the current year as well as in the last year.

In the last year’s tournament Colombo Combined Table Tennis Club’s Men’s and women’s teams emerged A division champions. The mens team comprised current national champion Rohan Sirisena, Buddhika Walagampola and Sajith Kavinda. The women’s outfit included Mavulee Peiris, Nuwangi Aponso and Sadisi Nirosha.

KPMG TT Club ended runners up in the mens A division which comprised of Chathura Chameer, Sajith Priyadarshana and Lalindra de Silva while Three Star Sports Club became women’s A division runners up which included Kasuni Dilshani, Upeksha Fernando and Kusali Ranmini.

In the mens `B’ division Veteran Table Tennis Club emerged champions while Ceylinco finished second. Ceylinco SC became winners in the mens `C’ division with Sri Lankan Air Lines ending runners up.

In the mens `D’ division Confifi Group emerged winners while SriLankan Airlines came second. Panadura Recreation Club emerged champions in the women’s `B’ division while Confifi Group finished second.
