Emergency passed

Kotte: The motion moved by Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickremanayake to extend the Emergency regulations by another one month was passed in Parliament with a majority of 99 votes.

TNA asked for a division and voted against. JVP and JHU voted in favour. The UNP abstained from voting.
