Educate children

Technology has already dominated our lives. Every nook and corner we
could witness a technical apparatus. Now our lives have a very close
relationship with these items which we cannot survive without. In this
context the internet is only an aspect of this technology.
Thus, when we utilise the internet we could use it for good and bad
purposes. As the saying goes, everything has two sides. That is good and
bad. So likewise internet also includes into this genre. We could
factually use it to send an email or get some information. Or else we
could use it in an antisocial way. Actually there is no need to say
about the darker side of the internet as we all know it already. Thus
pornography is called a darker aspect of the internet and apparently, it
is.
Pornographic websites are ample. If you just type a word maybe you
could visit such a site.
Nevertheless, people might have sundry opinions about the internet.
While some might endorse using the internet others might categorically
deny saying there is nothing to get from the internet. But the matter is
not with the internet. It is with the pornographic sites.
Presently, anyone could go to these sites if he or she has an
internet connection. Children also could encroach into this adult sites
while some get addicted to these websites some do enter these sites just
for their curiosity and exchange these smut with their friends.
Apparently males are the ones who are addicted to this immensely. But
in my standpoint I think that not only males but also females talk smut
with their fellow mates. However, it is natural to have curiosity
towards sex in the adolescent age. Sex is a subject which is liked by
everyone.
But as the saying goes, too much of anything is good for nothing. It
is valid here too. One must not get addicted to this. In my personal
stance there is nothing wrong in watching these sites. But that idea
does not directly account into children. They might surely have the
curiosity to know about it.
A friend told me that when he was a teenage he had the great desire
to watch an adult movie. So, however when he just passed the age
eighteen he went to a cinema. But he was not allowed in as he did not
have a beard unluckily. Likewise it is natural to have the curiosity.
Then on the other hand if a small child is pushed to watch these
pornographic sites, he would not know or would not understand the effect
it has on him as he is a child. Small children cannot comprehend what is
good and what is bad.
When they get something that is titillating they might follow that
being unaware of the repercussions. Children like to have amusement.
Thus they could use this entity if they are not properly guided.
In addition to that, if a child is caught to parents or to somebody
who is his guardian it would be futile to fret over it and berate the
child. What the parents or the guardian should do is to guide them
properly. Adults should teach them and talk with their children frankly.
They must educate and teach their children about the subject, sex. But
most adults are tongue-tied to speak about things which are related to
this subject. That is the main reason I see behind this.
Moreover, sex is a human need. Therefore, when a couple get married
they should have it. But if a spouse does not get the sexual
satisfaction he or she expects I think there is nothing wrong in trying
to watch something on the internet or in a movie. But people should
remember not to get addicted to it. If you get addicted to it you might
want to have it everyday. Then your mind become perturbed and the
marriage perhaps would collapse.
On contrary to this the Government intends to put a fullstop to this
menace. But in my stance I think that the prohibition of these sites
would be a failure. Because in this highly developed technology the bad
side also get enhanced. People who are wizards in computer related
subjects surely know alternative or secretive methods to visit these
sites. And on the other hand, the prohibition of pornographic sites
might beacon another set of illegal movies containing in CDs. Then the
CDs might displace the internet.
Then there are cafes who provide chances to this menace. I think the
Government could take some measures about the cafes if they intend to
stop this. They could brief the proprietors not to allow children to use
the internet in school uniforms. Or cafes must have open and separate
computers to schoolchildren. But this might not please the owners
because they might lose the business.
Hence the only solution to this menace is to educate children. They
must be taught specially in schools and by parents. Our society and some
people are not open. Social taboos have metamorphosed these subjects
into misdeeds. Therefore, we must first educate children in a proper
manner to end this scourge. |
