Reception for Berty tomorrow

ANURADHAPURA: Plans are afoot to accord a reception to Berty Premalal Dissanayaka on his being sworn in as the Chief Minister of the North Central Province for the third successive term. The ceremony will be held at 9.00 a.m. tomorrow at the NCP Provincial Council office premises. The Chief Guest will be NCP Governor Karunaratna Divulgane.

The new Chief Minister will be conducted in a motorcade from Kalawewa bridge to the venue. Later he will assume duties and meet the public.

Meanwhile Dissanayake was sworn in as the North Central Chief Minister before President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday.

Dissanayake will assume duties in his office on Friday at 9.00 a.m. at the Chief Minister’s Chambers at the new North Central Provincial Council Complex.
