Royal and Visakha hockey champions

Royal College and Visakha Vidyalaya emerged boys and girls champions at the All Island Inter Schools Under 15 Hockey Championships worked off at Astro Turf, Reid Avenue, Colombo,

The tournament was organised by the Colombo Schools Hockey Committee. In the finals Royal beat defending champions Nalanda College 4-1. Visakhians beat President's BMV, Rajagiriya 4-0.

Danuja Gunasekara of Royal College also won the most outstanding player's award while Maneesha Welaratne was fittingly adjudged the best player of the girls tournament. Both teams are being coached by Rohan Dissanayake.
