Tigers on the run nabbed in PNG

Papua New Guinea intelligence officials (NIO) have arrested 12 Sri Lankan men linked to the LTTE who were on the run from a major offensive against the Tigers by the Sri Lankan Security Forces.

LTTE trained upcountry youth during Ceasefire - Police

Around 300 to 400 Tamil youth from the upcountry had been taken to the North and trained by the LTTE for subversive activities during the Ceasefire in 2002. Police Intelligence revealed that most youth were found to be residents of Ambakottewate, Kengalle, Galaha, Maussawa, Rattota, Ukuwela, Nuwara Eliya and Hatton.
