Over 700 entries for TT tourney

More than 700 entries have been received for the All Island Ranking Table Tennis Championship organised by the Kandy District Table Tennis Association to be held on the 6-7th of Sept. at the Peradeniya University Gymnasium.

“We are very happy to stage this tournament after a lapse of several years,” said the President of the KDTTA, Manzie Muthaub. This tournament is conducted by the Sri Lanka TT Association. Players from all parts of the island are expected.

K.S.T. Chalitha, Rohan Sirisena, Sukitha Wickramanayake, Yohan Deshapriya and Indika Prasad are the main contenders of fighting for the men’s singles title, while Ishara Madhuranghi, Deepika Rodrigo, Saranga de Silva and Tharindra Weerakoon are the favourites for the women’s title.

Events to be worked off for the tournament are Men’s/Women’s Singles, Men’s/Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Men’s/Women’s Masters Singles, Boys/Girls U-10, U-12, U-15, U-18 and U-20.
