Lanka Bell, Maliban in ICT partnership
Mobitel launched subscriber registration system recently in
response to the directive issued by the Telecommunication
Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL), instructing all
telecom operators to register their subscribers. The Company
will issue an ownership document, Mobitel Identity Certificate
(MIC) in addition to the Mobitel Digital Certificate (MDC) a
user can invoke on his or her mobile phone. The registration
facilities are available at 65 Mobitel centres located island
wide. Chairperson Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel Leisha De Silva
Chandrasena said “As the National Mobile Services provider we
have decided to comply 100 per cent with the directive issued by
