Special hospital for disabled

The Arogya Foundation for disabled persons had launched a massive project to build a special hospital for the disabled. Following an appeal by the Foundation, a group of donors visited the foundation headquarters at Nalandaramaya, Pathiragoda, Maharagama.

The delegation headed by Ven. Sek Ming Chang Thera and Buddhist donors madam Sng Choon Eng. Gohkim Hua, Goh Hiew Geok, Leow Kwee Fah, Teo Seng Hong, Lian Mam and Chew Kim Gen visited the Foundation Director Ven. Unapana Ariyadhamma Thera.

They donated tricycles, handcrafts, clutches, scooters, white canes etc. to the foundation.

They also pledged support in foundation's welfare projects.

A pinkama was also held to felicitate them.

The foundation distributed some equipment to the disabled to mark the delegation's visit.

Ven. Sek Ming Chang Thera donated US$ 1,000 to the proposed hospital.

Chief Counsellor of the Foundation Ven. Udahamulle Saranapala Thera, Ven. Thalagala Sumanaratana Thera, Chief Incumbent of the temple Ven. Thalapathpitiye Punngnaloka Thera, President of the Foundation Prof. Ariyapala Perera, Secretary Dr. Lanka Dilini Kodithuwakku were also present.
