Missing Kuwaiti found dead

AGARAPATHANA: The body of a 28-year-old Kuwaiti female tourist, who went missing at Little World’s End in Agarapathana, was found from an estate at the bottom of the mountain by Police yesterday.

Police said the woman had come to World’s End with her father and had gone missing following a heavy mist which descended the area around 1.35 p.m. on Saturday.

An immediate search operation had not yielded any results but the following morning Police found the body at the bottom of the mountain.

Agarapathana Police said the tourist might have fallen off the cliff being unable to find her way due to the heavy mist. They also did not rule out the possibility of foul play and investigations were continuing, Police said. The body was taken to the Balangoda hospital where a postmortem was held later in the day.
