SLAF raids terrorist positions

COLOMBO: Air Force gunships MI-24 carried out air sorties at LTTE bunker lines and strong position in the East of Nachchikuda yesterday afternoon causing heavy damages to the terrorists.

Air Force spokesman Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara said the Air Force M1-24 gunships took LTTE targets in the East of Nachchikuda at 1.30 p.m. “The SLAF fighters destroyed the LTTE bunker lines and other strong positions causing heavy casualties to the terrorists”, he added.

The targets were precisely engaged following ground intelligence information and air surveillance.
