Lankans lose to North Korea 3-0

The Sri Lankan soccerites competing in the AFC challenge cup in India went down to North Korea three goals to nil yesterday at Lal Bahadur stadium.

Sri Lankans playing minus their skipper due to an injury was led by E. B. Channa in this game. Koreans were leading in the first session of play netting in three goals to take a firm grip of the game.

After the return Lankans played a better game to halt Koreans getting any addition to their score time and had to settle the game in their favour with the same score 3-0.

Chathura Maduranga Weerasinghe the skipper will return for the next game against Myanmar on Saturday at the same venue. BP
