Nepali Foreign Secretary Gyan Chandra Acharya has said that the prime minister will lead Nepali delegation for the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) summit.

If the new government is not formed within a week, caretaker Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala will be leading the Nepali delegation at the forthcoming SAARC summit.

The 15th summit is scheduled to be held in first week of August.

According to Acharya, who was speaking at the Reporters Club, Friday, the 15th summit will discuss issues like terrorism, price rise of the petroleum products, inflation and food security, among others.
