Maha Dambulla Development Project will strengthen economy -

The economy of the people of Dambulla and suburbs would be
strengthened after the completion of the Maha Dambulla Master
Development Project, pledged Local Government and Provincial Councils
Minister Janaka Bandara Tennakoon.
Minister Tennakoon said without any doubt Dambulla will become a
commercial city.
The Government invested about Rs.5000 million on this master project
and hoped to establish five adjoining cities near Dambulla and 200 Grama
Niladari Divisions, Ministry sources revealed.
Construction of Dambulla Administration Complex, development of
Galewela Town Hall, Development of road and drain systems of the city
and broadening Dambulla-Anuradhapura main road with four lanes and
landscaping the area adjacent of Dambulla-Anuradhapura road from
Thammanna Ela to Mirisgonia Ela are included in the Maha Dambulla
Development project.
Accordingly community based development projects commenced to develop
Galewela, Korakahagolla, Kekirawa and Vayaulpota villages have already
been completed. |
