Generator for Jaffna

The Government has provided a 36 MW generator to Jaffna to provide an
uninterrupted electricity to the entire Jaffna district.
On the directive of Power and Energy Minister W.D.J. Seneviratne,
this generator was sent to Jaffna few days ago, Cabinet Spokesman
Minister Anura Priyadharshana Yapa told the weekly Cabinet press
briefing yesterday. The CEB is installing this generator in Jaffna.
Once the installation work is completed, the CEB will able to provide
an uninterrupted electricity to the entire Jaffna district, the Minister
said. |
