Blast kills three policemen

Three police officers were killed due to a LTTE bomb attack at Aiyanthamale at 6.00 p.m. yesterday, a spokesman from the Media Centre for National Security said.

Two LTTE bunkers in Kurukkandal were completely destroyed by Troops on Sunday.

Four LTTE terrorists were reported killed during the incident.

In Palamodei six more bunkers were captured by troops between 6.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on the same day. Ten LTTE cadres were killed in the battle while thirty more were injured.

Four soldiers have laid their lives for the country while seven were wounded in action.

Another soldier is reported missing in action.
