MP Anjan Umma's vehicle found

Police found a vehicle of JVP Gampaha Parliamentarian Anjan Umma, which had gone missing earlier at the Parliament park, at her residence on Sunday.

Police media spokesman SSP Ranjith Gunasekera said following a tip-off the Meerigama OIC recovered the vehicle of Umma on Sunday. "It was reported that people had seen Umma's husband driving the same vehicle before it was found at her house on Saturday," he told the Daily News.

Anjan Umma lodged a complaint earlier at the Welikada police that her vehicles parked at the Parliament Park had gone missing.

The vehicle was handed over to the Welikada police and police were also making inquiries from Umma's husband as to why he failed to inform police when he found the vehicle, he added.
