Sri Lanka Development Bonds oversubscribed

COLOMBO: The Sri Lanka Development Bonds (SLDBs) offered by the Central Bank to eligible investor categories were oversubscribed and received bids amounting to US$ 310 million, of which the Government has decided to accept US$ 230.3 million, the Central Bank said.

The offer was opened on June 16, 2008 and closed on June 23, 2008 and was subscribed by both foreign and local commercial banks.
