Unilever wins regional occupational health award
Unilever Sri Lanka was recently awarded the Occupational Health Award
(2007) for Asia which is an award competition between regional
manufacturing units of Unilever, the maker of household brands as
Sunlight, Lux, Sunsilk and Surf.
“Adding vitality to life is the mission at Unilever, so looking after
the health of its employees is paramount. We’ve been in Sri Lanka for
seventy years - since 1939, and we’re really proud of the contribution
Unilever has made to Sri Lankan society by adding vitality to their
lives”, Human Resources Director, and Unilever, Sri Lanka Sandamali
Perera said.
“We have one of the most comprehensive health service at work which
consists of various health awareness and health promotion programmes to
improve the health and vitality of our employees.
Unilever places very high emphasis on health and safety everywhere
around the world where Unilever operates. That’s why it’s very special
to win this award. It does Sri Lanka proud”, enthused Perera said.
Unilever Sri Lanka conducts several on going programmes for all
categories of employees- management, staff and work force. |
