Briefing on Asia Pacific Trade Agreement

The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka will hold a briefing session on “Asia Pacific Trade Agreement (APTA), its benefits to Sri Lanka and the new developments” on June 25 from 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm in the Chamber Auditorium, 450, D. R. Wijewardene Mawatha, Colombo 10.

Third round of negotiations on tariff concessions under Asia Pacific Trade Agreement was held in April 2003 when it was known as the The briefing session includes a presentation followed by discussions on the benefits to Sri Lankan exporters under APTA, its future expansion, new export and import opportunities arising and problems faced by exporters, importers under the Asia Pacific Trade Agreement and the outcome of the Twenty eighth session of the standing committee. The resource person will be Dr Dayaratne Silva, Deputy Director of Commerce.
