Traffic diversion on Kandy Road

There will be a traffic diversion on the Kandy Road at Kegalle between the 76th and 79th kilometre posts on Saturday from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. the following day on account of the Poson Maha Perahera conducted by the Wewaladeniya Viharaya said Police headquarters in a press release yesterday.

Motorists are advised to take the following alternative routes to avoid any inconvenience.

Vehicles from Colombo-Ranwala junction, Polgahawela Road, Imbulgasdeniya junction, Hiriwadunna-Karandupona junction to Kandy road.

Vehicles from Kandy-Kegalle Clock Tower junction, Bandaranaike Mawatha, Welimannatota-Francis Molamure Mawatha, Kanatta junction to Colombo road.
