Voters register not needed for Grade 1 admission

The Education Ministry said that an extraction of voters register is not required when applying for Grade One admission as mentioned in the circular regarding 2009 Grade One admission.

Therefore, only the duration of permanent residency has to be mentioned in the application which will be sent to principals. But at the interview the applicant is liable to produce the extraction of voters’ list relevant to the mentioned duration, Ministry Secretary Nimal Bandara said.
