Prof. Anton Jayasuriya birth anniversary

The 78th Birth anniversary of the late Prof.Dr.Sir Anton Jayasuriya (Chairman, Medicina Alternativa and World Congress) will be held on Friday (20) at 5.30 p.m. presided over by T. Don Augustine at the Sir Anton Jayasuriya Memorial Hospital Hall at No. 8, International Buddhist Centre Road, Colombo 06.

The meeting will commence with a two minute s silence observed in his honour.

The "Commemoration Oration" will be delivered by Prof. Dr. Carlo Fonseka Emeritus Professor, Physiology followed by Prof. Dr. Dennis Aloysius, John Amaratunge (M.P) Ex - Minister and U.B. Wijekoon - Ex. Deputy Minister and Ambassador among other speakers.

A review would be made on the progress of the late Prof. Anton Jayasuriya Scholarships Awarded to 10 university students to follow Medical Degrees at Peradeniya and Colombo Medical Colleges.
