Medical student arrested

A special Police team on Monday arrested a medical student of the
Peradeniya University in Kandy along with six suspicious SIM cards and
several other equipment. The suspect is a resident of Batticaloa.
When the Police attempted to arrest the suspected medical student, he
had tried to flee.
According to Police, the SIM cards that the suspects with the suspect
belonging to several mobile phone companies. The Police has also seized
a mobile phone containing a video of some phonographic scenes. In
addition, the Police also detained condoms and a list which includes
nearly 200 numbers.
Police are conducting further investigations on the directive of
Central Province DIG Kingsley Ekanayake and Kandy division SSP Jayantha
Gammanpila. |
