Kunming Fair begins

The 16th China Import and Export fair is presently underway at the Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Centre in the Capital City of South West China's Yunnan Province.

This fair jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and Seven local Provincial and Regional Governments from Sichuan Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Tibet, Chongching and Chengdu links sellers and buyers from China and South Asia and is one of the key trade fairs for Sri Lankan exporters, seeking entrance to the ever growing Chinese market.

The Commercial Section of the Embassy jointly organised the participation to this fair in Kunming with the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka and the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.

Sri Lanka show cased potential products that has a high demand in the Chinese market such as gems and jewellery, ceylon tea, coconut products including coir and oil, spices, handicrafts, cosmetics, liquor and herbals.
