Japan donates relief items for flood victims
The Japanese Government will donate emergency aid worth about
Seventeen Million Japanese Yen (approximately SL Rs. 17.6 million) to
the Government for immediate distribution among flood affected people in
Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Galle Matara, Rathnapura and Kegalle
districts.
These emergency aid materials include 300 pieces of sleeping pads, 25
sets of water purification systems and 27 tanks. These items will be
provided for the relief activities of the flood affected in the seven
districts. These items will be distributed through the Japan
International Cooperation Agency (JICA). |
