Quantum Tele-Shopping celebrates a decade's operations

Offers life-time warranty on all fitness equipment:

Quantum Tele-Shopping, the Direct Response Television Company celebrates ten successful years of operations in Sri Lanka this year. Founded by Nomal Wijeyaratne as DRTV Products (Pvt) Ltd in September 1998, Quantum Tele-Shopping is a fully owned Sri Lankan company.

Managing Director,
Nomal Wijeyaratne

Having started out as a single store, it has since grown into a company with a retail base in excess of 200 outlets through Singer and Dinapala covering almost 85 per cent of the country. "Our mission is to introduce Sri Lankan consumers to new and innovative products which would enhance their lifestyle, ranging from fitness and personal care to cookware and vehicle products", Wijeyaratne said.

In celebration of its 10th anniversary, Quantum Tele-Shopping offers all its customers a life-time warranty on all its fitness equipment. This is in fact the first time a Sri Lankan Company has offered a life-time warranty to its consumers.

In addition to the 30-day Money-Back Guarantee and the life-time warranty, Quantum Tele-Shopping also offers a comprehensive service and maintenance programme on selected products.

"We have also identified many new and innovative products in the fitness and personal care categories which we will be introducing to the Sri Lankan consumers over the next few months, in this tenth anniversary year", he said.

Wijeyaratne added that being the first tele-shopping company to introduce 30 minute fitness products infomercials to Sri Lankan television channels, Quantum had soon realised the need to educate the public on the importance of being healthy and the need to stay fit and in shape.

"These infomercials not only communicated the direct benefit of staying in shape, but also brought focus to the greater benefits of exercising which contribute to reducing the occurrence of heart diseases, diabetes and many other ailments and help keep medical costs as low as possible".

Quantum has worked with most of its suppliers over a number of years. This has given the Company the opportunity to establish strong relationships based on the trust and confidence in the quality of the products being supplied.

These suppliers are the registered owners of these product trade names around the world and supply the same product to the USA, Europe and Asia meeting the quality standards in those markets.
