Dilantha ready to make it three in a row

The two time Malaysian Super Series (MSS) champion Dilantha
Malagamuwa who is expected compete in this years championship to go for
third title has already issued an early warning to his rivals. He who
comes for the first stage of the championship with a high morale has
declared that he is ready to defend his Supercar Series Championship
here in Malaysia.
Dilantha is determined determined to enter the record books by making
it three in a row which none of the drivers have so far done on this
circuit to be the MSS Hat trick Man.
After successfully defending his Supercar crown in 2007fo r a second
time the Sri Lankan driver declared that he had set a target of a third
consecutive MSS title. Dilantha with the support from Speed Sri Lanka is
rearing to get behind the wheel for a super start.
This he proved in the early part of the season with a sterling
performance during the testing weekend. He showed the onlookers that he
has improved heavily than the previous two years. Every one is of the
view that Dilantha is in peak form for a repeat performance this year
too.
Dilantha who has arrived in Malysia few days ago says that his
mission here will be to win the title again this year.
I know It's not going to be easy. It is true that I am in fine
fettle, but I was made to understand that there are some top new drivers
too have entered the fray for the series this year. According to
information though they are new to the Series, they are capable of
giving me a stiff challenge during the course of the championship."
Dilantha, who swept aside the local challenge from Wira Dani Daim to
win the 2007 overall title at Sepang Circuit is confident that
that hecan overcome the local challenge as he has defeated them
twice. It is the new challenge that I will have to with great care says
Dilantha.
He also said that "the Porsche Club has become strong this year. I am
pretty sure that Wira and his Fugazi Racing Team would be very much
stronger than last year," said Dilantha, who ended the five-round
championship with a total haul of 185 points.
"But, that was what it should be. The event is great and I am happy
that it is growing into its third season. It's going to be an even more
exciting season and I am ready for the challenge," said Dilantha who is
sponsored by Speed Sri Lanka.
The highlights of 2007 season will be screened this Saturday 12th
April will come on Sirisa TV from 2.30pm and 5.30 pm respectively.
Dilantha and Speed Sri Lanka will get off the for a thrilling season
that starts on Saturday the 19th April 2008. |
