Miniruwani improves

Miniruwani Samarakoon who is representing Sri Lanka along with Heshan Unamboowa at the FINA Short Course World Swimming Championship in Manchester. London improved her 200 metres national record in the 200 metres butterfly stroke on Wednesday.

Miniruwani swimming in lane 3 in the preliminary round of the women's 200 metres butterfly stroke 'clocked' 2.35.68 secs to establish a new national record. Her previous timing was 2.38.88 secs. The 16 year old Miniruwani is a student of Gateway College Kandy (L.F.).
