Delmege ventures into automotive products

Delmege Automotive Products a member of the Delmege Forsyth Group launched Motul automotive lubricants in the local market recently.

Motul has a complete range of lubricant oils and vehicle maintenance products and is a specialist manufacturer of high-end synthetic oils, which was launched in Sri Lanka.

This marks the Delmege Group’s entry to the automotive sector said a spokesman for Delmege Automotive Products (Pvt) Ltd, and further stated that motor enthusiasts could look forward to a range of new and exciting products from the Company as a result of its partnership with Motul.

Motul, the world renowned lubricant was the first to offer a multi grade engine oil in 1953 and the first to create and launch a 100 per cent synthetic ester based engine oil in 1971.

Motul have several firsts to their credit and Delmege is indeed pleased to represent them stated a spokesman on behalf of the company.

“Motul has an exclusive tie up with BOSCH in Europe and in fact we are the only lubricant brand in the BOSCH service network.

The company also have close associations with car OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers)Suzuki, BMW, VW, Ferrari, Nissan, etc, while we have close ties with motorcycle OEMs worldwide including Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki, etc. and co-branded engine oils with MBK in France,” he added.

He also said Motul has the approvals of major commercial vehicle manufacturers MAN, Volvo, Scania, Leyland, Cummins and Mercedes Benz amongst others

Delmege Automotive Products will distribute the entire Motul range via an island-wide distributor network.


SLT to enhance communication capabilities of Edirisinghe Trust Investment

Sri Lanka Telecom has signed an agreement with Edirisinghe Trust Investments (ETI), to provide an Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network (IP/VPN) solution. This data communications solution will seamlessly connect its nation-wide 31 ETI branches across the country to the head office in Colombo.

An IP-VPN data network features the capability to provide voice, video, internet, and mission critical data services across the enterprise.

This enables the organisation to benefit from direct cost savings as well as making their operations smoother as they gain the ability to communicate efficiently with people within the organisation immaterial of location and access vital information across the network at any time.

Speaking on the significance of this agreement CEO, ETI Mahendra de Silva, said, “We have already seen the benefits, especially in terms of cost effectiveness with the IP/VPN solution SLT has provided us. Reliability, quality of service as well as it being a customised solution based on our requirement is some of the additional benefits.”

The solution also enhances ETI’s capabilities as they now are able to gather and disseminate information with their stakeholders in real time.

ETI is keen to use this system to its fullest potential and introduce new innovative products and services such as an online customer service portal through which customers would query their accounts, settle payments and process applications.

Chief Business Development Officer SLT Priyantha Perera said, “We are very happy to provide ETI with a communication solution that will help make their operations smoother as well as enhancing their capabilities.

This will be excellent in terms of giving the company the opportunity to offer more services to its customers as well as communications solutions for the further diversification of their business.”
