Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene who scored a century cuts a ball during the second day of the first Test match between the West Indies and Sri Lanka in Georgetown on March 23, 2008. Jayawardene posted his 22nd Test hundred to help the visitors reach 476 for eight declared in their first innings. The home team reached 29 for one when stumps were drawn on the second day. AFP

A century from skipper Mahela Jayawardena which had responsibility writ all over it, has placed Sri Lanka in a winning position on the second day of the First Digicel Test against the West Indies here today.
