Otters' open Tennis Tourney from March 15

The first ranking tournament for the year to be held in Colombo, would be the Otter Aquatic Club's annual open tennis tournament which will take place at the club premises from the 15th-29th March 2008.

Otters have earned a reputation of being in the forefront of promoting tennis for a good many years to enjoy the satisfaction of a ranking tournament right along. This competition has become attractive to be popular, and as in the past there would be more than 250 entries.

There would be a total of 12 events, with all ranked players in Sri Lanka expected to participate. The junior events are singles for boys and girls under 10, 12, & 16 years.

All five open events will be held viz; Men's open singles, women's open singles, Men's open Doubles, Women's open Doubles and Mixed Open Doubles.

In addition there will be a veterans' event. Trophies and certificates will be given for the junior events and prize monies for the open events.

The referee for the tournament will be K. Subramaniam.
