All island sixes tourney from March 20

The all island softball six-a-side tournament which is a concept of Namal Rajapaksa to find young talent for the future will commence on March 20.

The first set of matches of the Kandy District will be held on March 20, 21, 22 and 23 at the Wigulawatte ground Gampola. The organisers have decided to bring in the winners and runners up for the final stage which is scheduled to be held in Colombo.

The organisers the Thaarunyata Hetak Foundation have also made Arrangements to select highly talented youth to be admitted to the Cricket Academy. Sports equipment too will be distributed to the sportsman and women of Gampola area on this day. Minister D. M. Jayaratne will be the chief guest on the final day and the other distriguished guests expected on this day are Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage, MP's of Kandy District.
