Aeturnum Lanka gets funding for CMMI certification

After just one year of operations in Sri Lanka, Aeturnum Lanka has been granted funding from ICT Sri Lanka to implement Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI). Aeturnum plans to achieve CMMI Level 3 by 4th quarter 2008. The highest CMMI certification is Level 5.

The CMMI of the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI) is an internationally recognized standard for assessing software development practices.

Adoption of CMMI framework will further demonstrate Aeturnum’s continuing efforts to maintain the highest quality standards and successfully deliver measurable business benefits to all their clients.

The certification will provide Aeturnum with a framework of processes and procedures to ensure that their project management team applies effective and efficient methods to their solutions offered to their clients.

“I am very glad as this effort would add immense business value and substantial benefits to our clients in terms of better processes, increased software productivity, and an overall ability of the organization to meet its goals for cost, schedule, functionality, product quality, and employee morale.

The knowledge gained from this exercise would be used to take this achievement as a starting point for other process improvement initiatives,” said Manager - Marketing and Corporate Communications, Aeturnum Lanka Niranka Tharesh Perera.

Aeturnum Lanka works with independent software engineers in the US using ‘cutting edge’ technologies.

With operations growing at a rate of 135 per cent, the company’s success lies in the close relationships maintained between each employee and their customer. “No one is a number at Aeturnum,” says Perera.

Aeturnum Inc, headquartered in Westford, MA has been providing software development and IT consulting services to North America since 2001 and initiated operations in Sri Lanka in November 2006 as a part of its global expansion initiative.

Since then Aeturnum Lanka functions as a subsidiary of Aeturnum Inc and is engaged in providing a variety of software services.

Aeturnum provides a full spectrum of software services that includes Technology Consulting, Product Platform Services, Enterprise Software Solutions, Maintenance, Performance& Porting and Quality Assurance Services.
