A stubborn knock of 48 not out by fresher Kithmal Wimalaweera helped
Trinity College to recover and even up exchanges in their Schools
Lemonade Trophy Cricket Tournament match against Dharmaraja College
which began at the Asgiriya Stadium in Kandy yesterday. The match will
be continued today at 9.30 a.m.
Rajans who batted first were struggling at 108 for 6 at one stage
before the tail enders helped them to reach 164.
Trinitians in their turn at the wickets were not too happily placed
at 60 for 4 wickets before Kithmal Wimalaweera and Roshan Jaleel 22 not
out steered them pass the 110 mark with an unbroken stand of 53 for the
fifth wicket.
Medium pacer T. D. Balasuriya captured all the wickets which fell to
return figures of 4 for 27.
