Health camp in Bibile
A one day health camp for villagers of Andaulpotha in Bibile will be
conducted by Old Trinitians Sports Club members at the Gemunupura
Vidyalaya at 9.00 a.m. tomorrow.
Dr. Ajay Jayaseelan who is co-ordinating this programme said other
measures too would be taken to help the villagers. Doctors from Uraniya
Hospital and Kandy Hospital will conduct this camp under the leadership
provided by Old Trinitians Sports Club President Sean Wanigasekera.
Villagers will be treated for diabetes, eye testing, bronchitis
asthma and other ailments.
The Old Trinitians will upgrade the school’s toilets and donate two
generators to Gemunupura Vidyalaya and the local hospital. The school’s
year one class room will also be renovated.
Sports materials will also be distributed.
Seminar on ‘Building fully integrated manager’
Over 100 professionals from several private and public sectors
participated in a seminar organised by McQuire Rens & Jones (Pvt) Ltd at
the Cinnamon Grand Hotel Colombo recently.
The areas covered were, ‘Why bother with strategic planning?,’ ‘How
to help people accept change?,’ ‘Causes and how to cope with performance
problems?’ and ‘Managing different type of people.’
The seminar was facilitated by Nalin Jayasuriya, Managing Director &
CEO of McQuire Rens Group of Companies, Mario Fonseka, Corporate Trainer
& Management Consultant and Bennett Patternott, General Manager Group
Human Resources, Carsons Management Services (pvt) Ltd.
The seminar ‘Business writing & Telephone Etiquette’ for new
recruits, receptionists, secretaries and tele-marketers will be held on
February 12, at TransAsia Hotel, Colombo.
Panadura Mithrodaya Assn anniversary
The fifth anniversary of the Panadura Mithrodaya Association will be
held at 2.30 p.m. tomorrow at Prime Minister’s Girls College, Panadura
under the patronage of Western Province Chief Minister, Reginald Cooray.
Four projects will be launched to distribute school stationery among
the Samanera residents in the Panadura Urban Council area to award
presents and certificates to students who have passed the GCE (A/L)
Examination with three A s, and to felicitate seven senior citizens over
70 years in Panadura town.
Diabetes awareness
Healthy Life will conduct Awareness Programme ‘Diabetes and Your Eye’

Appointment letter presentation

2000/2001 (Repeat batch) will be awarded by Healthcare and Nutrition
Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva at 9.00 am today at the National Blood
Transfusion Centre, Narahenpita, Colombo 5.
All pre-interns who have submitted their applications are invited.
Help cure her ailment

L. Nadisha Kumari of Talgahapittaniya, Meeruppa, Denipitiya is afflicted
with cronic leukaemia, according to the medical specialists.
It has been estimated that Rs. 5 million needed for her treatment at
Vellore hospital, India.
Due to the needy circumstances her family which is not in a position
to foot the medical bill requests public assistance.
