Former test cricket captain Arjuna Ranatunge and Vice captain
Aravinda De Silva have been appointed as Brand Ambassadors of Sri Lanka
Tourism.
Acting Secretary Ministry of Tourism George Michael said this would
help them to promote tourism more aggressively.
He said they will be introducing Ramayana Trail a novel marketing
concept to woo Indian tourists and this will be launched by the two
cricketers.
The Ramayana Trail will be launched in New Delhi shortly.
PIMA launches 'Counter Point'

The PIM Alumni will develop a community of Thought Leaders which
would help the country socially and economically. Director PIM, Dr.
Uditha Liyanage said PIMA will launch a programme titled 'Counter Point'
which will enable managers to learn from prominent personalities in the
private and public sector, who have taken their organisations to greater
heights by challenging conventional wisdom.
The main objectives of PIMA are to develop those who completed MBA
and net working the MBA community. The Counter Point programme will
achieve both objectives at the same time, Dr Liyanage said.
The programme will be launched on January 18 at the Colombo Hilton.
CEO of Dialog Telekom Dr Hans Wijeyasuriya will feature in the first
programme of the series. He will speak on reaching the grassroots.
Dr Liyanage said Dialog has reached millions of consumers by doing an
unconventional thing. What is unconventional is you might have people
willing to buy but unable to afford.
If an organisation can design a business model which would help those
who cannot afford to reach the products that is called unconventional
way.
Someone going against the current and becoming successful it will be
a learning point. |
