The Institute of Personnel Management (IPM) has strengthened its
relationship with international counterparts.
More members are to receive opportunities to participate at
international events in USA, Australia and Singapore this year,
President IPM Lalith Wijetunga said.
He said five members of the IPM have got the opportunity to interact
with its counterparts in UK, Singapore and Hong Kong during a short
period of five months last year and had fruitful discussions and the
council is in the process of reviving links with India and other
neighbouring countries to make exchange programmes viable.
Wijetunga said at a time where the global mobility of labour is
happening on a mass scale as the leading HR Institute in the country it
is important to learn about global HRM trends and practices.
The knowledge gained through that could be shared among our members
and students in many forms which will be beneficial to our country and
it will be continuous professional development for our members too, he
said. |
