Army Christmas Carols
Christmas Carols of the Army organised by Army's Christian Fellowship
(ACF) was held on Thursday to mark the birth of Jesus Christ.
The service was organised at the Christ Church Hall, Galle Face,
Colombo at 5.30 p.m. under the auspices of ACF Chairman Major General
Lawrence Fernando.
Army Commander Lieutenant General Sarath Fonseka and Seva Vanitha
Army Branch President Anoma Fonseka were the Chief Guests.
Senior Army Officers including retired Senior Officers, Officers and
Other Ranks witnessed the mass.
Carols were sung by choirs of the Sri Lanka Army, St. Benedict's
College, Kotahena, Ave Maria Convent, Negombo, Royal College, Colombo
and Maris Stella College, Negombo.
Vocalists Latha Walpola and Indrani Perera also contributed.
Santa Claus, took time off to distribute gift parcels to the
children. |
