'Congress will not tolerate LTTE supporters'

Arunkumar told reporters that the LTTE was an enemy of the Nation as it had assassinated Rajiv Gandhi, and there was no question of pardoning it.

Asked about show-cause notice issued to party MLA M. K. Vishnuprasad, Arunkumar said all India Secretary K.B. Krishnamurthi was looking into it.

He said the State Congress unit would organise regional-level meetings in which he would participate. They would be held in Kancheepuram and Madurai on January 5 and 6. Subsequently it would be held in Tiruchi and Coimbatore.

The AICC leader said he had directed the party's State unit to organise public meetings throughout the State to highlight the achievements of the UPA Government, especially the employment guarantee programme. The Hindu
