SriLankan tourism package for Indians

'Exciting Sri Lanka,' an initiative to promote the tourism potential of the country, has been launched by the Sri Lanka Airlines in coordination with the Tourism Authority of Sri Lanka, said Sri Lankan Airlines Kerala manager Samantha Nagahawathe. Samantha, who assumed charge recently, disclosed this while interacting with the mediapersons here.

The packages which are offered in Exciting Sri Lanka, including airfare, star hotel accommodation, airport transfer etc, have proved highly attractive for visitors and holidaymakers, Samantha said.

A package with two nights and three days costs only Indian Rs 12,999 and another package covering hotel stay in historical places with 3 nights and 4 days will be charged only Rs 14,999, Sri Lankan Airlines sales officer Rajan Philip said.

The packages will be in force till December 15.

'Visit Sri Lanka', a tourism promotion package which was introduced last year, was highly successful.

Over 10,000 people from India alone visited the country, Samantha recalled.
