"Techno Show 2007" organized by Next@Abans at the Grand Ballroom of

On display at the Next@Abans Techno Show, were product exhibits from
leaders in the consumer electronics field and now in desktop and

Some of the exciting products launched at the show included the LG C1
Express Dual Tablet PC with swiveling action, finger touch LCD panel and

Another highlight in the Desktops range was the LG W-Series,
currently the only Desktop range worldwide to come with Fingerprint

functional Sinhalese language facility. De Silva Wijeratne feels that
this will help hasten computer penetration amongst the 80 per cent of

Lilanthi receives Deans Award from USQ, Australia
Lilanthi Herath, a second semester student of the Master of Project
Management (MPM) study program, recently received the Deans Award for
Outstanding Academic Achievement in Semester two-2007 from the
University of Southern Queensland in Australia.
The highly reputed masters program is conducted at the OpenArc
College of International Studies in Sri Lanka, the official education
partner for USQ.
Lilanthi is the Finance Manager at Overseas Realty (Ceylon) Limited,
owner and developer of the World Trade Center. She is a fellow member of
the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
When asked from Lilanthi about USQ and OpenArc she said, "I think USQ
is well organised and assists the students in pursuing their academic
aspirations at post graduate level in a very professional manner.
I am pleased with the subject line up and the flexibility of the
program. I am sure I will turn out to be a good project manager once I
graduate as a MPM from USQ.
