Ranil says Minister suppressed facts from court

UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday filed objections to the plaint filed against the MoU between the UNP and the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Mahajana Wing and submitted that Minister P. Dayartne had suppressed facts from the Court.

Minister P. Dayaratne earlier filed the action pleading before the Court to issue interim injunction suspending the MoU between UNP and the SLFP (M) Wing as it was contradictory to the UNP Constitution.

Wickremesinghe filing objections through Attorney J.J. Rajakaruna stated Minister P. Dayaratne had suppressed important facts from the Court. He said the plaintiff should have raised his views against the MOU in an internal discussion without moving to courts first.

Wickremesinghe pleaded before the Court to dismiss the application for the interim injunction.
