Havelock City first phase ready by June

One of Sri Lanka’s newest residential complexes, Havelock City, the
largest single mixed development will complete its first phase by mid
2008.

facilities beyond what other apartment complexes offer. This project has
been designed by Chinese architects and constructed by them.
The whole project area is on 19 acres.
Massive in its scope and construction, at a value of USD 250 million,
Havelock City is developed by Mireka Capital Land (Pvt) Limited. Mireka
Capital Land is a joint venture of Overseas Reality (Ceylon) PLC and the
Bank Of Ceylon.
“With Havelock City, Overseas Reality’s objective is to create an
environment that is completely new to Sri Lanka,” Ghouse said.
Havelock City will afford residents a one stop residential living
concept with parks and recreational areas, restaurants and shopping
malls. Havelock City offers high rise condominium units designed to
combine the resort within a stylish city location.
They also hope to provide walk areas, jogging tracks, a well equipped
club house and gymnasium as well an infinity edge swimming pool.
“Havelock City residential tower blocks are designed in such way to
give our residents maximum privacy as well as the perfect view they seek
from their home offering the natural breeze that only nature can
provide” Ghouse said.
He also said they have reserved nine acres of property is reserved
for a landscape which will provide lakes and boulder gardens and hope to
get massive trees and plant them so that they could have more greenery
around the area.
The Havelock City apartments will end by 2010 and by the end of the
project, the concept of the Havelock City “city within a city” to suit a
definitive lifestyle is expected.
When fully completed, there would be eight luxurious residential
apartment towers, 300 room hotel, 200 serviced apartments and retail
space, dining and recreational space, which will ensure privacy and a
sense of seclusion, Ghouse said. |
