Praise for CMC Treasurer

When the One Man Commission appointed to probe irregularities in the
Colombo Municipal Council met former Supreme Court Judge Justice Dr.
Chandradasa Nanayakkara, at the Chief Ministry Auditorium, Colombo.
The Attorney-at-Law S. Noordeen appearing for the defence paid
tribute to the Municipal Treasurer K.D.K. Premadasa appreciating his
services to the Council.
The defence lawyer with the permission of the President of the
Commission making a special statement said: “The CMC functions smoothly
due to the dedicated services of men like Premadasa. I am proud to state
that it is a rare privilege to be able to say a word of appreciation to
public servants like Premadasa.”
President of the Commission Chandradasa Nanayakkara approved the
remarks.
Attorney-at-Law Palitha Abeywardana appearing for the Western
Provincial Council said the services of public servants like Premadasa
should be appreciated. He said he was the key person who had acted
wisely to safeguard interests of the CMC whenever there were issues that
was detrimental to the Council’s well-being.
