Shankar’s International Children’s competition
A painting drawing and writing competition for children organised by
the Indian Cultural Centre will be held on November 17 from 9.30 a.m. to
1.00 p.m. at 133, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 4.
The competition is organised to commemorate Children’s Day, which
falls on November 14 every year, coinciding with the birthday of India’s
first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.
Children interested in participating in the event may register their
names with the Centre by calling on 2500014 and are requested to come to
the centre at 9.30 am on November 17.
Entries by children on that day would be sent to New Delhi for the
Shankar’s International Children’s Competition 2008.
The Shankar’s International Children’s Competition 2008, in the
categories of writing, painting and drawing, is open to children all
over the world born on or after January 1, 1992.
The last date for receipt of entries in New Delhi for the Shankar’s
Competition is December 31, 2007.
