‘Yovun Divimaga’ boon for Rajarata youth

The youth of Rajarata who participated in the “Yovun Divimaga” youth camp held at Anuradhapura thanked the Government for organising such a youth camp which helped them to build their future.

Youth made these remarks at a discussion held under the patronage of Youth Affairs Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi at the closing ceremony of the Yovun Divimaga youth camp, the Youth Affairs Ministry release said.

Over 500 youth were participated at this youth camp held at Vidyadharshi Vidyalaya premises, Nochchiyagama, Anuradhapura on October 13 and 14. Youth said the youth camp provided them necessary career guidance and counselling to build their future.

Youth also commended the Youth Affairs Ministry for organising this kind of youth camp in a remote area like Rajarata which was very helpful for them to develop their skills.

The Youth Affairs Ministry intends to provide career guidance and counselling to 10,000 youth by conducting youth camps in all districts including the North and the East. The Ministry has already conducted youth camps in Ratnapura, Ampara, Moneragala and Hambantota districts.

Arrangements have been made to conduct youth camps in Polonnaruwa, Nuwara Eliya and Kurunegala districts within the next few weeks.

Central Province Chief Minister Berty Premalal Dissanayake, Nation Building Minister S. M. Chandrasena and Petroleum Resource Development Deputy Minister Duminda Dissanayake were also present.
